Afghan's 'first & only p*rn star' who fled Taliban says first orgasm triggered love of sex
She said: “You couldn’t leave the house without a male chaperone. Why should a woman leave unless it is an emergency?

Yasmeena Ali - 'Afghanistan's number one porn star' - has spoken about how she got into the adult industry after fleeing the brutal regime of the Taliban and ditching her religious upbringing.

A woman who makes money as a sex worker has opened up about her “brutal” upbringing in Afghanistan where the Taliban repressed her freedoms.

Yasmeena Ali is an outspoken sex activist but her current life is a far cry from her childhood.

She was just a little girl when the Taliban gained power in her home country in the 1990s.

And she soon learned what it was like being a female in the eyes of the violent men who ruled.

She told the I Hate Porn podcast host Tommie McDonald: “I was born in the country and that environment. It was tragic and brutal at times. I think I am the only porn star from there.”

Yasmeena later went on to wear the headscarf in porn films when she got older.

Yasmeena was denied an education and from an early age she saw the differences between how men and women were treated.

She said: “You couldn’t leave the house without a male chaperone. Why should a woman leave unless it is an emergency? You are hidden from the world. The veil isn’t just covering your body - it is a veil from the world.”

And one of her most distressing memories from an early age was being told by her own mother that there was “no such thing as rape” where she lived.

Yasmeena developed rebellious instincts early on and it is no surprise that she has since abandoned her strict Islamic background to become an atheist instead.

The big change in her life came aged nine when her family fled Afghanistan for the UK.

There, Yasmeena was sent to school where she was taught sex education and how to read and write.

Describing the contrast, she told the pod: “I came from a religious conservative backward society so there are no conversations about how you are feeling.

“Not even a conversation when you start your period, it is just ‘here are the pads’ and there are no conversations about your reproductive health.

“You just learn as you go by yourself.”

But Yasmeena soon adapted to life in England and she said she integrated quickly.

She added: “You are treated with respect. There was curiosity and people asked about my scarf but it wasn’t like they were attacking me.

“It was coming from curiosity. There were those people that did and called me the Taliban but I think it was because they didn’t know what it meant, it’s not because they hated me.

“They had just never seen a girl who couldn’t speak English and she’s come from a country where there’s war and she’s wearing a headscarf. I was the only girl in school with a headscarf.”

Yasmeena later went on to wear the headscarf in porn films when she got older.

And her interest in sex was sparked after she finally had her first orgasm - after months of trying.

She remembered: “I couldn’t have an orgasm. I was trying so hard and I thought something was wrong with me.

“I was so focused on achieving the end result, I thought the only way to have a healthy sexual life is to have an orgasm. That was the wrong idea of sexuality.

“It was the pressure. You are rigid and you can’t let go, so focused on trying to achieve the result that you forget the process and your body cannot relax but you are so focused on needing to have an orgasm.”

Yasmeena eventually gave up on her quest until the orgasm happened naturally.

She said that unexpected moment was a trigger and since then she has explored her sexuality free from shame.

And we recently reported how Yasmeena now believes that the Taliban, who have since regained power, are aware of her sex work.

And in the podcast she elaborated: “Sexually repressed societies can become obessed. When you look at where most of the viewers come from with Pornhub etc you see most of them are from middle eastern countries.

“These societies are very sexually repressed and it is like a medium for them.”

And Yasmeena, who now sells raunchy content on OnlyFans, believes she was always a sexual person and her career is not solely about rebelling against her upbringing.

She explained: “I have always been a very sexual person even if I didn’t realise it as a kid. I knew the effect I had on people.

“I kind of knew it but I didn’t go too much into it because then you start dealing with other questions but I would say deep down I have always been this way.

“It is like a caterpillar that turned into a butterfly, you always knew you were beautiful even as a caterpillar. Now you can only fly. That is the difference. The colours are still there.”
