The 'wet look' Aston Villa uniform of Alisha Lehmann produces a wardrobe malfunction
Due to the troublesome 'wet look' uniform of the team, Alisha Lehmann had a humiliating wardrobe mishap during Aston Villa's Women's Super League match versus Manchester United.
Alisha Lehmann is the latest player to experience issues with the 'wet look' Aston Villa uniform this season.

Following concerns about how wet the shirts become during matches, reports surfaced last month that the Midlands club was trying to cancel its multi-year agreement with kit suppliers Castore early. Players argued that the tops' discomfort and weight were impeding their ability to perform well.
According to reports, the Aston Villa women's squad was "dreading" wearing the uniform when they returned to WSL play this weekend. And as usual, the sticky jerseys caused a stir when Lehmann had a minor fashion mishap right before the game.
The skin-tight top allowed fans to easily see the blonde forward's nipples, an issue that the team's male players have also encountered this season.

The sticky kits were clearly causing a problem before the game had even begun |
Before the game began, Carla Ward, the manager of Aston Villa Women, said: "It's up to the legal staff of the football club and Castore to discuss and deal with it. Despite how challenging that is, I have attempted to fully disregard it. That is entirely in the hands of the football team. They have been kind to me, the other players, and ourselves.
The women's squad for Villa has four upcoming TV matches, according to football analyst Jacqui Oatley in a recent interview with BBC Newsbeat. Normally, they would enjoy and anticipate those games immensely. However, they are genuinely dreading it since, for obvious reasons, they are very concerned about how they will seem in this wet, sticky suit.

The men's team have been complaining about the kit since pre-season |
As a female athlete, you probably have enough on your mind simply to perform at your highest level on the football field, let alone worry about perspiring and your uniform sticking to you. In terms of performance, as it is with the males, as well as from an aesthetic one.
