Demi Lovato Poses Nude, Goes Without Makeup for Vanity Fair

This woman right here is what you call Confident!

Demi Lovato has gone nude in a no-makeup and no-retouching Vanity Fair photo shoot. The Cool for the Summer singer looks stunning in the stripped-back spread that sees her pose naked in a Manhattan hotel room.

Demi, who courageously battled an eating disorder back in 2010 is bravely letting people see her exposed and at her most vulnerable. She told Vanity Fair:

“What does it mean to be confident? It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don’t give a fuck and this is who I am. I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated and free. What if we do a photo shoot where it’s totally raw? Super sexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching and no clothing. Let’s do it here, let’s do it now.”

In an accompanying video interview, an au natural Demi tells the viewers:

“I would have never thought I would have gotten to a place in my life where I could do that,”

The ex-Disney star who experienced bulimia and anorexia and even went to rehab to fight her personal struggles continued:

“It’s empowering and its shows other women you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body-image issues. You can feel comfortable and confident in your skin”.

“I learned after working very hard on my spirituality and my soul that you can get to a place where you love the skin that you’re in, and I’m excited to share that with the world,”

We totally admire Demi Lovato for doing this groundbreaking photo shoot. Someone who has admittedly “hated every inch of her body” has put everything on display for everyone to see which is incredibly empowering. We’re glad she’s letting people know that there’s always hope to overcome their struggles!
