- NRL legend has called his lawyers over false claims his daughter was in sex tape
- Mark Geyer says social media claims his daughter was involved are defamatory
- Current Panthers player Tyrone May was arrested and charged over the tapes
- A false rumour that it was Geyer's daughter involved was spread on Facebook
The daughter of rugby league legend Mark Geyer fought back tears in a Sydney court reliving the moment she was wrongly implicated in a sex tape scandal involving Panthers star Tyrone May.
Montanna Geyer said she was at home in March last year when a friend called and alerted her that a Facebook post had claimed she was the woman on the sex tape.
The 22-year-old told the Sydney District Court she was "shattered".
"I was broken, I was beside myself ... I couldn't deal with it," Ms Geyer said.
Her father also gave evidence. Mr Geyer told the court he could hear his daughter scream out as she was crying.
He said she was an "emotional wreck, shaking and crying".
Ms Geyer is suing Fouad Ghosn for defamation, alleging he was behind the offending post on the NRL Meme Facebook site.
The post read: "The bird in the Tyrone May video is Mark Geyer's daughter. Happy Days at Penrith."
Lawyers for Ms Geyer said her character and reputation had been brought into public hatred, ridicule and contempt.
It is expected the defendant Mr Ghosn will argue he had nothing to do with the Facebook page.
