In spite of being a star-kid, Shraddha hasn’t had an easy-breezy journey in the showbiz world. Having her share of highs and lows, the talented starlet sweated it out in the film industry and worked her way into the top league of Hindi cinema. The spectacular dancer is also a successful singer with close to ten songs to her credit. Check out some eye-popping photos of this perfect blend of talent and hotness.

Celebrity Background and a Childhood Crush on Tiger Shroff
Born to popular Hindi actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor in Mumbai, Shraddha aspired to become an actress from a very young age. Donning her parent's costumes, she used to rehearse film dialogues and dance to Bollywood songs in front of the mirror. She completed her education from the Jamnabai Narsee School and joined the American School of Bombay at the age of 15 to pursue her plus two. During this period, Tiger Shroff was Shraddha’s schoolmate and both the actors admitted in an interview that they had a crush on each other in school, but never proposed. She was later enrolled in Boston University to major in psychology but left in the freshman year to make her film debut.

Debut Offers and Big Breakthrough
After noticing her performance in a school play, Salman Khan offered a film to Shraddha when she was 16. However, she refused his proposal for her aspirations to become a psychologist. But things changed after a couple of years when producer Ambika Hinduja was super-impressed by Shraddha’s photos on Facebook. Leaving her graduation in the freshman year, the beautiful belle returned to India and made her acting debut in the 2010 drama ‘Teen Patti’, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Ben Kingsley and R. Madhavan.

Despite an applaudable performance as an edgy youngster who sheds her specs for sleaze, the film tanked at the box-office. After a successive failure with her second film, Shraddha earned her breakthrough role in Mohit Suri's romantic musical-drama ‘Aashiqui 2’. The film was a sleeper hit of the year and the heroine’s performance was unanimously praised by critics and viewers.

Four Back-to-Back Superhits and a Superstar Status
Continuing her victory streak, the Kapoor girl reunited with Mohit Suri once again for the psychological-thriller ‘Ek Villain’ in 2014. Despite mixed reviews, the gritty and engaging film did exceedingly well at the ticket counters with special marks to the captivating screen-presence of Shraddha. In Vishal Bhardwaj’s highly acclaimed ‘Haider’, she played the Ophelia-based character of a journalist named Arshia. Along with commercial success, she was hailed for convincingly portraying varied nuances of her character.

After a spectacular act as the female lead in Remo D'Souza's ‘ABCD 2’, Shraddha played the love interest of Tiger Shroff in the 2016 romantic-thriller ‘Baaghi’. Grossing over Rs 100 crore in the domestic market, the film took the gorgeous belle into the big league of Bollywood.

Singing Career and Item Numbers
Shraddha Kapoor made a grand singing debut by crooning to Galliyan for ‘Ek Villain’. Composed and sung by Ankit Tiwari, the song went on to become a chartbuster in no time. She followed it up with a song each in ‘Haider’, ‘ABCD 2’, ‘Baaghi’, ‘Half Girlfriend’ and nearly four numbers in ‘Rock On 2’. Despite being a mainstream heroine, Shraddha moved her belly in a few item songs like ‘Dance Basanti’ from ‘Ungli’ and ‘High Rated Gabru’ from ‘Nawabzaade’. She is considered as one among the finest dancers in present-day Bollywood and is all set to go the extra mile for the most expensive dance in India ‘Street Dancer’ with Varun Dhawan.

Queen of Instagram
The true fashionista and the stunning personality who never fails to impress the fashion police is extremely popular on social media platforms like Instagram with over a massive 27 million followers. As per Social Trends India in 2018, Shraddha topped the Instagram leader board for her constant engagement with fans and followers, followed by Alia Bhatt in the second place. Apart from offering a sneak peek into her personal life, Shraddha keeps her fans happy by posting jaw-dropping pictures from foreign holidays and private shoots.
