Turns out the real reason why Justin and Hailey rushed into marriage was to have sex. Not the greatest excuse to be wedded to someone ‘til death does you part.

Some get married because they are in love, to have a lifetime companion, for the desire to share their life with another. Others walk down the aisle because of an unforeseen pregnancy or to get a green card. But one should never—we repeat—SHOULD NEVER get married just because they want to have sex.

Unless, of course, you’re Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin.

In an interview with Vogue magazine, the Mr. and Mrs. Bieber revealed one of the many reasons they couldn’t wait to get married—hence tying the knot after only WEEKS of dating—was because Justin was deep into a vow of celibacy and didn’t want to break it before saying “I do.”

After being able to hold out, Bieber said: “I believe that God blessed me with Hailey as a result. There are perks. You get rewarded for good behavior.”

And while we respect Justin’s determination and self-control to keep it inside his pants, Twitter couldn’t help it but to tear down the newly-weds for becoming husband and wife just so they could get laid.
