But who is the former PornHub favourite and how did she start her career? Here's the lowdown.

Who is Mia Khalifa?
Mia Khalifa,  also known as Mia Callista, is a 24-year-old porn star who was once PornHub's higest ranked adult-entertainer and became notorious for her award-winning work in the adult entertainment industry.

Lebanon-born Mia, who moved to the US aged seven in 2000, has became notorious for her award-winning work in the adult entertainment industry and more recently has attempted to forge a career as a US Sports pundit.

She first began acting in pornography in October 2014 - ranking as the number 1 performer on PornHub by December.

It has been reported that Mia first got into porn when she was working in burger chain Whataburger, when a customer approached her and asked if she had ever considered appearing in pornographic films.

Her family is Catholic and she was raised in this religion - but no longer practices the faith.

She went on to join former NBA star Gilbert Arenas to "explore the cultural impact" of sports through Complex magazine's YouTube channel in a daily programme called "Out of Bounds".

How has Mia Khalifa hit headlines?
Mia has faced plenty of controversy in recent months.

In October 2017, she was shut down by NFL star JuJu Smith-Schuster after she flirted with him on Twitter.

She also brutally tolled a NFL-wannabe American football player for a THIRD time after he tried his luck with her.

She was allegedly turfed out of a baseball game for punching a fan who tried to take a selfie withe her at a match between the LA Dodgers and last years World Series Champs the Chicago Cubs.

According to reports, a fan shoved a phone in Khalifa’s face to take a selfie without asking permission, at which point Khalifa punched the fan in the jaw.

The Twitter account Hooligan Baseball tweeted a video of Khalifa being escorted from the building at the same time that a Dodger's player hit a walk-off home run.

Cubs fan Khalifa responded to the video by tweeting: "Fake news."

She then caused outrage by posting an image of her face superimposed onto the body of the Virgin Mary.

She also amazingly revealed ISIS threatened to BEHEAD her in sickening mocked-up execution photos.

Mia also launched a furious rant at NFL ace AJ Green after his punch-up with Jalen Ramsey.

Khalifa began her Twitter tirade by writing "Yo, f**k you, AJ Green" before going on to say "AJ Green sits when he pees" and "AJ Green dates girls that sell detox tea" and much more.

In February 2018, Mia announced she was quitting her role on Out of Bounds and launching her own show on streaming platform Twitch.

What was Mia Khalifa's row with Hurricane Helms about?
Former WWE favourite Hurricane Helms became embroiled in a row with Mia after she criticised the wrestling industry.

The Khalifa, 24, was discussing UFC fighter Ronda Rousey’s move to WWE on YouTube show Out of Bounds.

She said: "This is where her career will go to die.

"I have no respect for the WWE, it's not a real sport. It’s embarrassing."

But Hurricane Helms responded on Twitter, telling the former adult actress: "I’m not gonna get upset that a porn star doesn’t respect Pro Wrestling. She’s entitled to her opinion.

"Our bodies take a pounding and well… so does hers."
Mia was defended by her fans who called out Hurricane helms for slut-shaming her.

Independent wrestler Thunder Rose invited Mia to watch her perform at Sabotage Wrestling's War of the Genders 2 show on January 19 in Texas, and Mia accepted the invite.

Khalifa tweeted: "I will be here on January 19th. @thunderrose22 invited me so I can see how "fake" wrestling really is, and I can't wait to laugh in all their faces #notimpressed."
