Natalia Dzenkiv was questioned as the customs officials grew suspicious of her age.

Singer Natalia Dzenkiv was shocked when she was stopped by passport control officials and questioned her about her age. The singer who is better known as Lama was travelling home from Turkey when the customs officials asked her questions to confirm her age. Natalia Szenkiv of pop/rock band Lama was questioned as the customs officials felt she looked too young for her age. While she is 41-year-old, her youthful looks made the officials suspicious. They suspected her to be using someone else passport and hence interrupted her before the flight. Natalia’s looks convinced the officials that she was 20 years younger to her real age and hence created the frustration.

However, the actress has taken it as a compliment and said that she is used to being asked about her age. The Sun quoted her as saying, “When I found out the reason for my arrest, I even started laughing as it was the age in my passport. I am already used to compliments about the way I look, but I couldn’t have imagined that it might be a reason for detaining me.” Fortunately, Natalia’s fans who were present at the scene managed to convince the officials about her real age and later she also signed some autographs.

At MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Lama won the Best Ukranian Act. The airport officials thought Natalia would be using an older woman’s passport and hence wanted to cross check the information. Several people from the public also approached her asking for selfies too and was later allowed to pass through. And reportedly her youthful looks are credited to her healthy lifestyle. As per reports she is a vegetarian and only eats fruits and vegetables.
