Student of the Year gave Bollywood, three of the most rocking actors of the industry- Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. This awesome threesome has always been under the media radar for their professional and personal lives. The three have been linked-up with each other and also with many other leading men and women of the industry. And the one such pair which made the loudest buzz was Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra dated for quite some time after they first met on the sets of Student of the Year. But things didn't go well between the two and eventually, they parted ways. And now, after having positively moved on in their lives, Alia Bhatt is currently dating Ranbir Kapoor, and Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly dating debutante actress of Student of the Year 2, Tara Sutaria.

Commenting on Sid and Tara's relationship, a Deccan Chronicle report had recently claimed that the duo met at a party and their mentor, Karan Johar played Cupid between them. The report had a source quoted as saying, "But, nothing intense. They are both busy building their careers. She's just starting out and he's looking to catch up with his contemporaries like Varun Dhawan and Vicky Kaushal who have raced far ahead. Distractions are the last thing he needs."

It's generally perceived that exes can never be friends, let alone exes' partners. But it seems that Alia Bhatt and Tara Sutaria are bonding really well. Sidharth Malhotra's ex and his current girlfriend met at fashion designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's party which he had hosted to mark 20 years of completion in the fashion industry. As per a SpotboyE report, "Alia made the first move and that was heartwarming. She hugged Tara almost the same moment she saw her. She then hugged Ananya Panday (Karan's other new student, who also stars in Student Of The Year 2 with Tara) too. And then, she told them to sit beside her. Soon, Tara and Alia struck some chord and started chatting like they were long-lost friends."

Sidharth Malhotra had recently appeared on Koffee with Karan season 6 along with Aditya Roy Kapur. When KJo asked him about his equation with Alia, the Gentleman actor had replied, "We haven’t met after it. Our relationship is civil... I don’t think it’s bitter. It’s been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I gave my first ever shot with her in SOTY so there is so much history. There is a reason why two people decide not to be together. There were lots of ups and downs. When you take yourself from a situation, you look at all the happy and good memories."

Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, had talked about Sidharth Malhotra in an interview had said, "I have a lot of love and respect for Sid. We started off together in the industry. I have known him for a long time and there’s too much history between us. Honestly, there will never be issues. I have nothing but just positivity in my heart for him. I’m sure he wishes the same as well. We have witnessed several milestones of our lives together. He spoke about meeting and chatting and we were fine. There are no bad vibes."

The Kalank actress had further added that there is no problem from her side in being friends with her ex-BF, Sidharth. Alia had retorted, "Yes, absolutely, why not? If two individuals can come to terms with whatever has happened and don’t keep things in their heart, it’s definitely possible."

Sidharth Malhotra was asked in an interview if he would work with Alia again in a film. The Kapoor and Sons actor had replied, “People keep telling us that we should do a film together. But let's see. It's a matter of us getting the right script and a director like Karan Johar. Because only he can manage that. But now he's doing Takht. Everyone is busy with their own journeys."
