Jennifer Garner is one of Hollywood’s most beautiful stars, but she admits that she never saw herself as a ‘pretty girl’.

The 47-year-old busty and hottest lady is on the cover of People’s iconic annual Most Beautiful issue, having been chosen not only for her gorgeous looks, but her business pursuits, charity work and co-parenting with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

And in an interview coinciding with the honour, the 13 Going On 30 actress spoke about growing up and ‘not seeing herself’ as attractive.

Jennifer told People: ‘I was so not one of the pretty girls that I just bypassed insecurity and didn’t see myself as attractive at all. It was not part of my life.

‘I felt good about myself back then! That is the lucky trick. Looks weren’t a big deal in my family. I don’t think my parents ever said “You’re pretty” and so we just didn’t think about it.’

Jennifer is a red carpet fixture thank to her roles in films like Love, Simon, Dallas Buyer’s Club and Elektra, but when she’s looking after Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7, she’s less than glam.
The actress said that she has two daily uniforms – workout wear, or jeans and a sweater. And don’t get her started on make-up.

Jennifer joked: ‘Do I seem like someone who’s good at applying makeup? I own the nicest brushes and I own contouring things.

If I used it, I would just look bruised.’
