How Much Avengers: Endgame' Cast Paid? Robert Downey Jr. Tops in List

Avengers: Endgame is dominating at the global box office, having surpassed $1.7 billion in just over a week's time.

And for the epic film, the original six Avengers not only assembled, but the actors collected supersized pay cheques, according to The Hollywood Reporter's latest breakdown.

Read on for a look into their massive paydays!

Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo
Rounding out the original six Avengers stars is Renner (who plays bow-and-arrow wielding Hawkeye, left) and Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk, right).

There was no mention of their salaries in the most recent Hollywood Reporter breakdown. But, in 2012, the publication reported that they each made anywhere from US$2 million (approx. AUD$2.9 million) to US$3 million (approx. AUD$4 million) for the first Avengers film in addition to bonuses.

Still, not a bad take home at all!

Scarlett Johansson
Johansson's wage for Endgame wasn't named in the report, but the actress, who plays the super-spy Black Widow, was named the highest-paid actress in the world in 2018, earning US$40.5 million (approx. AUD$58 million), according to Forbes.

However, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that she'll earn US$20 million (approx. AUD$28 million) to star in and produce a forthcoming Black Widow solo film.

Chris Evans
Chris Evans, who plays the nobel Captain America, had a five-film deal of his own, not including cameos.

And, like Hemsworth, he renegotiated in the same US$15 to US$20 million range [approx. AUD$21 million to $28 million] for Infinity War and Endgame.

Now we know why Cap famously says "I can do this all day."

Chris Hemsworth
The Melbourne native's payday to play the Asgardian God is definitely worthy!

He initially signed on to make five films with Marvel, but renegotiated in 2017 for Infinity War and Endgame, "putting himself in the US$15 million to US$20 million range [approx. AUD$21 million to $28 million] and ready for the next phase of films," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Robert Downey, Jr.
The beloved actor, who kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2008's blockbuster Iron Man, is said to have negotiated a special deal over the years with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

Downey reportedly receives a cut of the proceeds from The Avengers films. From 2018's Infinity War -- which raked in $2 billion globally -- he reportedly earned "at least" US$75 million (approx. AUD$107 million).

And for 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, he's said to have received US$5 million (approx. AUD$7 million) a day for three days of work.
