Big Busty Zara McDermott opens up about secret huge boob job and post-op horror
Zara McDermott has revealed that she underwent a boob job in November, but ended up suffering a painful abscess.
The former Love Island star - who now stars on Made in Chelsea - announced that she went under the knife in a 16-minute video uploaded to her YouTube account on Thursday.
Reality personality Zara, 24, told that she had delayed in opening up on having her chest enhanced "until they were healed and I was feeling super happy and confident about it."
During the candid footage, the bombshell explained that she did not want huge implants or "anything that would look weird" and that she was prompted to have the nip and tuck after overhauling her lifestyle and losing weight.
She added that she was thinking about the surgery for a year and a half before taking the plunge and that she wanted to change her chest as she had two different cup sizes.
The X Factor Celebrity contestant said: "It was a very complicated procedure - well not very complicated - but more complicated than just a simple ‘I would like bigger boobs, please’."
Zara said: "I have been thinking about this surgery for a while probably for me maybe around a year and a half. It has basically been since I lost a bit of weight."
She continued: "I ended up having a completely flat chest up until my nipple would start then all the breast tissue would be down here, that was one thing that was annoying as I would have to really hoick my boobs up to get any shape or cleavage."
Zara also added that started to get more and more asymmetry with age as one breast was "virtually two sizes bigger than the other."
After meeting with a surgeon, she explained that it was decided that she would have a reduction on the larger breast then an implant inserted and the other boob would have a larger implant to balance out the size difference.
Explaining how the side with the reduction was more painful and required more attention, she told that her Doctor "ended tightening up all the ligaments on the side" and that she has left with a significantly larger scar under that breast.
Speaking about her post-op experienced, she told: "The healing process is not pretty, it is not.
"I had a few complications with this side, I thought I got it infected but I ended up having a stitch abscess.
"That was really stressful and quite painful."
Explaining that it is not unusual she told: "It is really common with longer wounds, I think as I overexerted myself and even now when I put my arm up, it feels tight."
Zara went on to wrap the video by telling her fans that she was happy with the results and glad she had the procedure.
